The Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club is looking for a On-FIeld Host for the 2019 season. This position will work under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager. This position is the “Face of the Team”. This position is highly visible and interacting with the fans on a nightly basis.
Game-Day Responsibilities
Serve as in-game host while conducting promotions on field and in the stands
Responsible for coordinating aspects of promotional schedule including giveaways and theme nights
Responsible for coordinating pre-game on-field activities including national anthem, local little league team, ceremonial first pitch, play ball kid, mascot, etc.
Responsible for writing game script for use by PA announcer and promotions
Ensuring props and promotional supplies are ready for each game and properly stored after each game
Assist in all pre-game set-up and post-game clean up operations as needed
General Responsibilities
Continually brainstorm new and exciting in-game promotions corresponding with promotional schedule and theme nights
Assist in making sure sponsored promotions are meeting the needs of their contract
Attend mascot and player appearances in the community
Assist in all aspects of team operations and other duties as assigned by management
Must attend weekly planning meeting with management.
Assist with player appearances and mascot appearances in the community
Must commit to all 32 regular season home games and playoffs if applicable
Must be able to work non-traditional hours (Nights and weekends)
Skills & Experience Required
Engaging, highly energetic and outgoing personality is a must
Must have a passion for sports
Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds on microphone
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills required
