About the Job

Mid May - Mid August The Spearfish Sasquatch are looking for individuals to work non-traditional hours (evening and weekends) for 32 regular season games and playoffs if necessary. Stadium Operations are responsible for preparing the stadium for game day. This position offers well-rounded insight as to what it takes to organize and prep a stadium to ensure that it will be ready for the arrival of the teams and the fans alike. Game-Day Responsibilities:

  • Set-up/Tear down the merchandise tent, ticketing tent and promotions tent.
  • Field Prep (chalking, painting, mowing, raking, etc.)
  • Prepare/Maintain both dugouts (water, Gatorade, towels, trainers table, snacks, etc.)
  • Set up/Tear down chairs on concourse, dugout and party deck areas.
  • Assist with concessions (as needed)
  • Assist with team laundry (as needed)
  • Lead post-game clean-up and tear-down operations
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary stadium (sweeping, trash removal, restrooms, etc.)
  • Assist On-field Host with set up of promotional props
  • Ensure stadium lights are turned on at the appropriate time
  • Deliver cases of game balls to umpires pre-game
  • Mow the field 2-3 times per week (as needed)
  • Drag the infield with use of a 4-wheeler
  • Prepare the pitchers mound
  • Water infield pre-game to prevent dust
  • Ensure post game meal for visiting team is delivered to bus General Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of ballpark
  • Must be able to commit to all regular 32 home games and playoffs (if necessary)
  • Ability to work game nights and weekends. As well as other team functions throughout the season
  • Assist in all aspects of team operations and other duties as assigned by management Skills & Experience Required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work quickly and meet hard deadlines
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs. of chalk and dirt supplement
  • Skillful use of shovel, rake and tamp to prepare infield & pitchers mound Host Families & Weekly Stipend Available
