Taylor is looking for an accomplished Assistant Controller to join our growing team! Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll lead the accounting, tax, financial reporting, and corporate planning functions, helping to build our business by implementing financial solutions and analyses that will drive the company forward. Primary Responsibilities Oversee accounting, tax, financial systems, and reporting functions: Develop, implement, and manage all accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls using best practices from public companies. Ensure accurate and timely completion of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Oversee A/P, A/R, and Payroll functions. Manage the tax function, including completion of tax filings, tax planning, and leveraging external tax advisors. Help identify and lead the implementation of new financial systems and other special projects. Maintain knowledge of and stay abreast of changes to reporting requirements, standards, and GAAP. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring: Lead the development and monitoring of company financial targets and annual consolidated budgets. Publish monthly reports on financial results, variance analyses, and updated financial forecasts, including revenue, pre-tax earnings, net earnings, and financial ratios. Identify and assess a consolidated summary of risks and opportunities impacting the financial forecasts. Develop models and provide analyses to project financial impact of business proposals. Provide ongoing financial analysis and reporting to the CEO, COO and CFO, as a key contributor to the business planning and monitoring process. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with CPA strongly preferred. Minimum of 7 years’ experience with at least 2-3 years in public accounting and 2-3 years in Advertising, Public Relations, or other professional services industry. Demonstrated experience building and implementing new systems, processes, and workflows utilizing best practices. Demonstrated experience with accounting, consolidation, reporting systems, and process improvement. Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present operating results and complicated financial data to senior level executives. Proven ability to identify problems and propose solutions to prevent or correct those problems with minimal management direction. Demonstrated experience in managing and developing direct reports.
