This role will bring creativity, experience and passion for learning to meet the needs of the business through a blended learning platform. The focus will be on corporate and global training programs while partnering with the broader Learning and Development team on core initiatives. The Instructional Designer/Graphic Designer role will create, design, and deliver innovative and effective training materials from initial concept through implementation. This role will be responsible for creating engaging visual concepts to communicate ideas and captivate end users through innovative learning experiences.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning and Development

  • Design, develop, implement, and sustain world class training programs for a wide variety of learners
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends within the learning and development space
  • Utilize Human Centered Design principles to develop and build experiences targeted at the needs of the end user
  • Manage the project life cycle from project initiation to final production


Instructional Design

  • Use adult learning theory and other instructional design practices to develop training content, user and instructor guides, presentations and other training material for multiple delivery methods including e-learning, video, instructor-led, webinars, on-the-job training, quick reference guides, and blended learning strategies
  • Display e xcellent project management skills including detail-oriented, ability to organize, plan and execute initiatives assigned. Must be open to working in a fast-paced environment and responding quickly to feedback through iterative design
  • Demonstrate strong content curation skills to gather data through multiple sources and then organize it in a meaningful way for learners to

    Experience



Graphic Design

  • Create innovative and impactful collateral, graphics and digital assets to enhance the learning and development, with user experience at the core
  • Work with peers and colleagues to elevate the visual brand to meet the developing needs of the organization
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts that tell a story
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas and concepts through iterative design. Must be open to feedback and working on an agile team
  • Convert concepts into a graphic reality with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment using Adobe Creative Suite applications or similar software
  • Develop and manage the production of physical print materials such as workbooks, takeaway materials, swag, etc.


Building and Navigating Relationships

  • Support and partner with teams to design and deliver training for corporate initiatives that maximize employee engagement, development and business outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, operate in a professional environment, and navigate organizational dynamics
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business functions to understand the learner needs to ensure that solutions are relevant, integrated and support business priorities
  • Work with branding team members on how to best reflect the Fanatics brand in the learning and training materials for the overall Learning & Development team


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work

Experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in instructional design, graphic design and project management
  • 2+ years' experience with UX/UI testing as well as usability and accessibility principles
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of levels across teams and business functions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities balancing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, energy and accountability with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premier Pro
  • Comfort with new technology and ability to learn quickly and use new software applications
  • Displays passion for learning and development
