Departmental Goal: To build Lakers’ brand affinity and the future fan pipeline by creating daily, engaging team content and leveraging digital platforms, while also helping other departments reach fans and publish their content via in-arena and digital platforms. Position Summary: The Creative Services Manager is responsible for operations on behalf of the digital marketing team. This role will manage workflow and timelines for internal creative process, product and integrated marketing projects. This role will be responsible for driving the development of custom creative content and ensuring flawless tracking and reporting. The Manager will establish project scope, calendars, budgets, assess capacity, manage and facilitate all aspects of projects. The role will partner across the broader marketing organization and will ensure effective and efficient resource and budget management. Key Metrics used to evaluate performance: Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**): · Collaborate with team leads, stakeholders, marketers and designers to centralize incoming requests, scope briefs and prioritize projects, create timelines, define milestones, create and track resource metrics, and assist in meeting project goals, budgets and deadlines · With Vice President, Digital Marketing and Creative Director, develop the roadmap of creative priorities and projects · Help define and manage the creative approval process through all phases: seasonal concept, creative brief, copy creation, legal review, asset creation, proofing, production and final review · Summarizes the overall status of projects on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis · Own and manage multiple and concurrent projects · Create baseline digital creative team metrics, hindsight and utilize · Lead communication with internal and external partners to ensure that project deliverables and timelines are fully met · Lead weekly creative review to maintain active communication on project status, blockers and deliverables and ensure proper approvals from creative leadership · Own resource budget and freelance requests · Build cross functional partnerships in order to influence effectively · Act as liaison between Creative and external Vendors when necessary as a function of a project · Build and develop internal process to support effective, efficient creative production and manage capacity · Partner with cross functional partners on the development and/enhancement of creative tools and technology · Establish and maintain a “training program” for the creative team (on boarding, process reviews, tool reviews) · Build relationships and partnership externally to support the advancement of the creative workflow and systems · Track creative team’s bandwidth and determine if a member of the team can be assigned on a project based on their current work load · Work the creative team to review weekly reporting · Work with IT and VP of Digital Marketing on solutions that improve the creative process **Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management. Education (Required/ Preferred): Bachelor’s degree (required) in marketing, advertising or communications (preferred). Advanced education is preferred Previous experience: · A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in project management and production · Must have experience working with in house creative teams Technology Capabilities: · Experience with project management processes, software, workflow and terminology · Knowledge of graphic design and video production process, software, formats and terminology Knowledge, skills, abilities: · Must be resourceful and well-organized, able to work on multiple projects concurrently and have a strong attention to detail · Strong understanding of marketing planning and execution, as well as elements involved in marketing execution: insights, strategy, media, creative and digital · Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to be an effective manager · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to interface with employees at all levels within the organization, and bridge gaps between departments to create better synergies and internal buy-in · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make instant, quality decisions · A logical approach to problem solving and detailed-oriented · Experience working at the executive level of an organization; setting and managing budgets; and preparing long term and short-term budget forecasting · Must be a problem solver Physical Demands: N/A Location: El Segundo (offices M-F), downtown Los Angeles (Staples Center for Lakers home games), and other occasional off-site events Travel: Up to 10% of the time
