Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordination and implementation of all in-venue production and entertainment to create memorable fan experiences across all LSU athletic events with focus on men’s basketball and gymnastics.
  • This includes writing PA’s, run-of-show scripting, timing sheets, video/graphic elements and halftime/timeout entertainment.
  • Coordinate event logistics including halftime entertainment acts, anthem singers and other special entertainment.
  • Manage the operation of the Bengal Brigade, LSU’s official gameday street team.
  • Supervise the music operations at all athletic events.
  • Work closely with internal and external groups on production of various video projects to be used in-venue and across multiple media outlets.
  • Create dynamic graphic packages for videoboards in conjunction with Creative Services.
  • Oversee the lighting effects operations in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
  • Help identify emerging technologies that will enhance the fan experience at LSU athletic events.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations and staff of the LSU fan engagement office alongside the Assistant AD for Fan Engagement.
  • Be a valuable member within the marketing and promotions team with input in overall direction of marketing, fan engagement and branding initiatives.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends and assist with other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, Recreation Management or Communications. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ of professional work experience in marketing, event production and/or communications is required.
  • Possess a demonstrated knowledge of in-venue production, excellent communication and computer skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented yet creative work and be willing to handle multiple assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with a NCAA Division I athletic program or professional sports team. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Click Effects Crossfire operating system, Click Effects Blaze operating system, Daktronics videoboard and scoreboard equipment, broadcast control room equipment, Sound Director, SHOFLO scripting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Must also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Strong customer service focus is essential.
  • Must possess strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify business problems, needs, opportunities and creatively solve them.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail is essential. Strong desire to pursue a career in intercollegiate or professional athletics marketing.
  • Must have a strong understanding of branding, marketing and advertising principles. 
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
