Assistant General Manager/Director of Sales
About the Job
Reports to: General Manager Preferred Start Date: January 2, 2019 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Secure all avenues of sales for the Mississippi Braves focusing on corporate partnerships Includes but not limited to group sales, season tickets, suites and non-gameday events Oversee team sales staff and sales trainee program Assist with the implementation of new sales programs Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales calls, including all incoming contracts and customer information. Ensure premium customer service for all clients Maintain a presence in local business community through involvement with chambers of commerce and other business organizations Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all local media while creating methods to enhance the team's brand in community Assist in hiring game day staff, scheduling and screening applicants Maintain a high level of morale and camaraderie among front office and game day staff throughout the year Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will possess: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position in the industry of professional sports. Professional and customer service oriented attitude required Excellent oral and written communication skills Proactive, organized and innovative person who can prioritize and follow through with minimal supervision Willingness to work long hours, holidays and weekends as needed Must complete a successful criminal and credit background check.
