UPMC Sports Medicine is seeking an athletic trainer to support St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Four UPMC athletic trainers provide services to St. Vincent's 21 Division III sports. Sport assignments include women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's swimming, bowling, and men's lacrosse. St. Vincent serves as the location for the preseason training camp of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers. Staff have the opportunity to work closely with the Steelers' sports medicine team.
UPMC Sports Medicine is based out of two full-service outpatient facilities in the Pittsburgh region - the UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center, located on Pittsburgh's South Side, and the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township. Our sports complexes are two of the leading sports medicine facilities in the United States. The UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center is part of the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, which is the primary practice and training center for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex serves as a comprehensive outpatient facility for UPMC Sports Medicine and is also the primary practice and training center for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Bachelor of Science or Art degree.
Ability to quickly establish rapport with students, physicians, staff and co-workers. Highly organized and able to prioritize assignments.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to worksites within local area required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Emergency Cardiac Care that covers the following areas: adult & pediatric CPR, AED, airway obstruction, 2nd rescuer CPR and barrier devices (e.g., pocket mask, bag valve mask). CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
