Description

As the Business Director for a Jordan Signature Athlete, you will oversee the long-term strategy, creation of cross-functional seasonal plans, and implementation across the globe. You'll fuel consumer demand and strengthen the Jordan Brand basketball category connection with consumers. In this role, you will report to the VP of Jordan - Men's, with a dotted line report to the VP of Jordan Marketing. You'll be responsible for providing strategic leadership, brand management, team collaboration, cross-functional excellence, and direction for the Athlete Signature business.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Vision, and Strategic Planning

  • Lead the creation and the development of a long-term strategic vision for the Athlete Signature business and brand
  • Lead an integrated, cross-functional offense focused on the athlete, the consumer, and pushing the basketball category forward
  • Oversee the seasonal direction set by global marketing functions & geo marketing teams for a cohesive implementation of product launches and seasonal initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, brand marketing, merchandising, marketplace, sports marketing, and geo teams to ensure product, consumer & athlete are at the forefront of all strategic planning
  • Deliver timely and effective seasonal marketing plans
  • Collaborative with stakeholder across the organization, including sports marketing, influencers, and business partnerships as well as the athlete and management team
Athlete Connectivity
  • Integrate the athlete voice through regular input sessions on athlete insights and emerging opportunities with the regions & functional marketing teams
  • Partner with sports marketing, who oversees athlete service & relationship, to keep athlete and management team connected to all plans and activations
Strategy and Brand Implementation
  • Oversee a 365 brand offense across Nike Brands strategic pillars, continuously obsessing over opportunities to leverage and amplify the Signature Athlete's voice
  • Serve as a hub and ensure alignment, creativity and insight in all marketing disciplines while aligning on cross-functional and cross-geo activations
People Leadership
  • Create meaningful relationships with the respective global and geo counterparts
  • Provide clear communication across the entire organization
  • Act as an advocate for the consumer, the brand, and the athlete
  • Be transparent communicate well and often with your close and extended teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related discipline
  • 8+ years' directly relevant work experience (Merchandising, Sales, Retail or Brand Marketing)
    • Additional 2 years' experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience in driving cross-functional alignment
  • Strong brand awareness
  • Strategic planning and business acumen
