Position Summary

As a Microvellum Programmer, you will Support the Millwork Project Manager to ensure that the goals of quality, schedule, cost, and safety are met. This individual will also be a leader in communication, and customer service. You will prepare clear, complete and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches. Upon approval, you will then program millwork for production using Microvellum, ensuring that the programs align with the shop drawings.

Life Time Construction is the in-house General Contractor building new and existing luxury fitness clubs from coast to coast and in Canada. Project sizes range from 40,000 sq. ft. to 220,000 sq. ft., including precast structures and high-end finishes. Life Time has its own millwork and casework production facility located in Chaska, MN, which supports the production of all new, remodel, and misc. millwork for our corporation. Examples of Work Performed
Makes final sketch of proposed drawings, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used and the relation of one part to another. Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to assist with drawings. Creates color exhibits for submittal to local government agencies, land-owners and architectural control committees. Work with manufacturing plant to ensure current Life Time millwork standards.


  • Experience required in AutoCAD
  • An Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience with Microvellum a plus
  • Estimating experience a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically word, excel, and outlook
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Proficient with AutoCAD operating software
  • Knowledge of architectural drafting standards and conventions
  • Knowledge of building systems and assemblies
