About the Job
Summary: The intern in this position will aid in advancing the department’s goals through data analysis and interpretation. Under the supervision of the director of business analytics and market research, the intern will conduct research and develop reporting of the research findings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with departments to identify research needs.
Assist with the identification of the appropriate research methodology to respond to the business need.
Develop research protocols and assist with preparation of all educational efforts surround research participation.
Identify and compile lists of potential research subjects in accordance with study objectives and parameters
Assist with the creation and distribution of surveys.
Travel to sites to collect and record data as appropriate to the specific objectives of the research.
Follow up with subjects to resolve problems or clarify data collected.
Review and edit data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
Perform basic statistical analysis of survey research (descriptive statistics, year-over-year comparisons, etc.).
Prepare findings for internal and public consumption.
Education: Recent college graduate (within past 6 months) or current student pursuing a degree (undergrad or graduate) in Sociology, Psychology or Sport Management / Marketing. Candidate should have research methods coursework and an interest in athletics.
Previous use of online survey tools (e.g. Survey Gizmo, Qualtrics, etc.)
Familiarity with SPSS, Stata or other statistical software
Experience with Tableau or other analytics software

Self-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverables
Interest in knowing, learning, and keeping up-to-date on statistical and scientific methodology
Internship begins January 7, 2019 and ends August 9, 2019
Internship can be full or part-time (20-40 hours/week)
Internships are unpaid, with a $775 nominal monthly stipend (prorated for part-time internships), plus parking allowance
Reports to Director, Business Analytics and Market Research
Position will be located at USA Football’s headquarters based in Indianapolis, IN
Must secure housing and transportation in Indianapolis
