Job Description

The NFL Media Group is seeking a Sr. Manager within its Business Strategy & Operations Group. This role requires an individual who can combine a solid understanding of the dynamic nature of the media/digital media industry with a foundation in business analytics. This role will report to the Director of Business Strategy & Operations within the NFL Media Group and will work closely with many senior leaders across the organization in Network, Films, Digital, Operations, Marketing and Business Development.
Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Support (50%)

  1. Monitor internal performance and identify areas for improvement
  2. Identify peer strategic shifts to identify opportunities / threats
  3. Evaluate new growth opportunities to inform annual and five-year planning
  4. Gather and analyze large amounts of information effectively in a highly structured manner
  5. Develop hypotheses and analytical frameworks to test new ideas / concepts
  6. Work with key stakeholders in relevant functions, inform recommendations and gain buy-in
  7. Create compelling presentations to effectively communicate to the executive team

Long Term & Annual Business Planning (25%)
  1. Evaluate financial and operational performance of major business units across KPIs
  2. Assist in identifying the story lines and drafting the narratives that explain performance
  3. Develop presentations to communicate performance and initiatives planned for the next year

Ad-hoc Initiatives (25% of time throughout the year)
  1. Provide analytical and deliverable support for all senior leader requests
  2. Assist in cross-functional initiatives that have a more long-term impact on the business


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related fields;
  • Minimum of 7 years' total experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MBA preferred
  • Previous experience at a Hollywood studio and/or sports team in a strategy / planning role
  • Management consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm is highly preferred

  • Comfort working with ambiguous data inputs where answers are not always well defined and requires ability to craft that answer based on imperfect information
  • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss business and technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas
