Summary Description

  • Manage budgets with project managers on shows, commercials, promos and specials
  • Plan and direct high end shoots for shows, commercials and promos
  • Oversee other Producers as a Show Runner
  • Edit quick turnaround segments on weekly shows
  • Generate new story ideas and new series ideas for TV shows, long form documentaries, and digital projects
  • Write long form scripts
  • Edit and produce shows for TV, digital, and social projects
  • Manage these segments through the production process and through the facility
  • Write scripts for voice-overs in NFL Films style

Special Skills/Abilities
  • 7 years of institutional knowledge of NFL Films production process and storytelling style
  • 7 years of institutional knowledge of NFL Films vault and footage
  • Capable of creating shows from conception to completion
  • Experienced and proficient on Non--Linear Avid editing system
  • 6 years of experience directing crews on shoots
  • Organized, assertive, and creative when directing a crew during shoots
  • Exceptional storytelling skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Creative person who wants to tell football stories
  • Ability to work with a large group of creative people
  • Knowledge and love of football
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with clients and other league entities

Personnel Management
  • Oversee PA's, AP's, Feature Producers, and Producers on specific projects
  • Oversee crews when directing shoots
  • Direct narrators for voice-overs
  • Direct Talent on shoots

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manages the creative development, production, content quality, and budget performance of programs
  • Works with sales, marketing, and promotions to maximize programming revenue potential; begins to develop relationships with key contacts to drive results
  • Ensures appropriate materials are distributed to production personnel to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Determines and maintains the creative vision and "look and feel" of programming to align materials with the producer's vision
  • Manages the editing of final products to ensure they are ready to be launched
  • Manages, develops, mentors, and guides a small team to ensure individuals are developing professionally


8-11 years of professional experience in TV, Film, or Digital production. Minimum of 7 years of experience at NFL Films.
