About the Job


- Develop on-air talent
- Coach on-air talent
- Train producers
- Brand growth
- Combining on-air, online and video assets
- Produce audio content
- Create digital content
- Aid Show hosts with topic development and provide necessary means in which to advance topics
- Stay current on all national and local sports content
- Monitor televised sporting events and game highlights for show prep both at place of work and away from physical work area
- Have contacts with Chicago sports teams, and national media members
- Work with all departments of the radio station with an understanding of how they relate to station
- Oversee web elements for programming
- Audio and sound production
- Podcasting
- Promotional idea's for the show, both production imaging, and marketing outside of the station
- Web writing/video/digital experience
- Social media experience i.e.: Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- Interaction with all departments at the radio station
- Work away from the office for station/show promotions
- Being prepared for occasional travel for events/live shows
- Occasional weekend duties


- Digital and broadcast digital expertise
- Bachelor's degree and/or Equivalent experience
- Background in producing sports talk radio preferred
- Experience in producing in the field from live sporting events preferred
- Must have a working knowledge of the basic facts of topical sports stories
- Demonstrate "sports news judgement"
- Knowledge of Protools
- Remote producing-sound board engineering preferred
- Digital posting preferred
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
- Have a high degree of time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to use MS Office Suite
- Video streaming and the process for the station
- Top ten market experience preferred
- Ability to manage on-air talent expectations on a daily basis
