About the Job

Bauer Hockey is looking for a talented Motion Graphic Designer to be part of its internal creative department. This is a unique chance to be part of a growing team and create lots of cool stuff in the process. You’ll report directly to the Global Creative Director and have the opportunity to improve your craft as you work on this world-famous brand. While a passion for hockey is not a mandate, it’s certainly helpful. The successful candidate will spend his/her day transforming boring into beautiful through the use of tools like After Effects, Premier Pro, and Cinema 4D. Along with your creative peers, you will collaborate with stakeholders to draft creative briefs and storyboards that highlight the competitive advantages of Bauer technology while weaving in expressions of culture and community. Responsibilities: -Leverage world-class animation software to develop compelling animations to educate and inspire the hockey community. -Participate in the creative process; prepare briefs and storyboards, and inject ideas of how motion graphics can elevate the experience or bring more context. -Partner with cross-functional design teams to drive a consistent voice and feeling across consumer touchpoints. -Join our community of designers who actively share ideas, crowdsource challenges, and propagate digital wisdom throughout the organization. -Host sharing sessions and educate people on the wizardry of your craft. -Use platforms and data to test concepts before unveiling to a larger audience. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of design experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. -A minimum of 3 years of experience in a design or animation capacity, preferably with a focus on broadcast media, web, or digital out-of-home. -Proficient in After Effects, Principle, Final Cut, and/or Premier Pro. Expertise with 3D Software is highly desired. -High-level of comfort with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch. -Experience with storyboarding and prototyping. -Understanding of UI best practices and can troubleshoot challenges with web latency. -Understanding of the creative development processes with expertise in web animations. -A portfolio chalked full of compelling and aspirational designs. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to clearly understand challenges and concerns, and develop resolutions. -Work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group. -Exercise high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. -Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others. *Upon submitting resume, please be sure to include a link to your portfolio.
