About the Job

Position Accountabilities We are looking for a senior marketing manager to setup and manage the marketing function within the ESL, America. In this role you will report directly to the VP, Product and Content North America and dotted line to the Global Marketing Group collaboratively to define and drive local marketing efforts for the US. You will lead the US marketing initiatives, aligning local marketing efforts with the company roadmap, marketing strategy and execution. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or another related field.
  • MBA is a plus. Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience with increasing managerial responsibilities required.
  • Social Media campaign experience is required.
  • 5+ years of consumer and digital marketing experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in esports, broadcasting, or another entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. Specific skills/knowledge
  • Proficiency and general understanding of PPC campaigns including Google Adwords, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Ability to manage on-the-ground activations remotely through external agencies (e.g. flyers, ticket giveaways, physical advertisements, signal boost activities).
  • Oversee the creation of event graphics including flyers, billboards, and web-based advertising units within brand guidelines.
  • High level working knowledge of esports organizations.
  • Deep understanding of PR and how to activate impactful campaigns in local markets.
  • Experience with basic customer service and ticketing tools such as Go Squared (real-time online Q&A system) and Ticketmaster (ticketing system).
  • Proficiency on planning frameworks to manage marketing KPIs across the organization.
  • Understanding of market research and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of live events and associated infrastructure. Personal skills
  • Demonstrate effective, accurate and clear communication with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, social media, reading, phone and customer service skills in accordance with role.
  • Must have a basic understanding of MS Office Suite as well as Google Suite.
  • Must have a basic proficiency with web-based CMS tools.
  • Must have a basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop .
  • Understanding of tier 1 competitive esports titles (CS:GO, PUBG, Fortnite, Dota 2) and respective communities.
  • Understanding of where and how gamers interact online (community sites, social media, communication applications). Operational responsibilities
  • Manage marketing KPI’s (e.g. unique reach, views, bounce rates, depth of visits, conversions, sales, lifetime value, churn, satisfaction) for the U.S. market.
  • Support/lead plans and storytelling for all events.
  • Lead team to develop and activate against annual marketing plans.
  • Oversee and guide digital marketing, creative and communication strategy.
  • Create and manage marketing assets from event announcements to team invites.
  • Promote broadcasts in appropriate areas and platforms.
  • Determine the best way to share product and company information to audiences.
  • Serve as brand expert providing innovative ideas and a thoughtful point of view on retail themes and programs that will drive objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally with agency and client teams to plan and execute strategic and synergistic social media initiatives.
  • Guide the marketing team and oversee the content output.
  • Coordinate activity at both a strategic and tactical level within all departments to ensure marketing and communications ideas and opportunities are maximized.
  • Improve marketing materials, communication channels and develop best-practices across all events.
  • Write clear briefs for freelancers, agencies and our graphic department. Management responsibilities:
