Examples of Work Performed

  • Develops preliminary permit cost estimates and code compliance budgets for future projects
  • Works with Real Estate and Development teams on future project planning
  • Reviews construction documents with the development, design and construction teams to identify potential issues that could affect code compliance, cost or schedule
  • Initiates contact and coordinates meetings with governmental agencies to identify permit and plan review requirements
  • Coordinates preparation of permit submittal packages for development and design teams
  • Submits permit applications and plans to governmental agencies
  • Establishes positive relationships with governmental agencies for the benefit of the construction teams throughout the duration of the project
  • Makes site visits throughout the course of construction to verify code compliance
  • Works with development and construction teams to identify final inspection process and occupancy related requirements
  • Works with Life Time Fitness licensing staff to apply for and obtain operational licenses
  • Provide assistance to development, design and construction teams for all building code compliance related concerns


Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience

Five to seven years experience in building code compliance, commercial construction, architecture, engineering or related field

Certifications / Licenses / Registration:
ICC Certified Building Official, Registered Architect or Registered Engineer desired
